The i-Phone

Right guys,

Need some help, my Mobile Phone (Cell) contract is up soon, and im thinking of upgrading to an i-Phone.

Who out there has one already, do you rate it. Is it worth it.

Especially to guys in the UK - What is O2's coverage like, i know Orange and Vodafone will be selling it early next year.

Leave me a comment or complete the poll.

Thanks

I have the older 3G iPhone, and I love it!! The newer one, 3GS is supposed to be faster on pretty much everything from what I've read. With the apps and the WI-FI. The camera was updated and you can take video. I know with the US they FINALLY gave it the MMS capability. And then there's all the apps which can make the phone into anything you want. I have several games on mine. And it's also an iPod.

Hi
Firstly, congrats for your site.
Re Iphone, I just got it and it works pretty well in London. It takes a little to get used to it due to being completely different to the rest. But you will get the hang of it in a few days. Had problems with importing my contact list from my old cellular to the new one, but the Apple store in Regent Street sort it out for me.

3Gs is the best phone/PDA ever. You have the choice of now over 100,000 applications and at least half are free. I think I've only paid for one application in all that I have. Plus I have a satellite radio application on my phone so I get all sorts of stuff including the internet. It's very easy to set up and to set up as many emails as you want. You can do twitter, myspace and facebook very easily. Great phone, iPod, PDA, mini-computer all-in-one!!! I'm a US customer, so I can only talk to AT&T service, but when I lived in the UK, I had O2 service on a blackberry and it was fine.

I prefer my nokias.
Couldn't do without my camera with autofocus, led flash, expandable memory, accessible battery, robustness, ability to copy/paste, ease of connection to a pc like a flash drive. I can forward messages to people and most importantly i can run programs in the background so whatever im using doesn't dissapear when i get a txt or need to make a call. Being able to install another browser like opera or skyfire allows full web pages with no compromise like safari on iphone.
iphones are over priced and not worth it in my opinion. (I have an N95) The only thing thats gone wrong with it is that over the last 2 years of being dropped shooting across my car dashboard and crunching against both sides of the car and being in a pocket of keys is that a little paint came off a couple of the buttons.

I have the new PALM PRE & absolutely LOVE IT!!! It has some +'s & -"s compared to the iPhone, but it HAS only been out 4 months or so now!

The amazing thing about the PRE is that Palm has been keeping MOST of the developing & operating system OPEN SOURCE for developers -meaning the updates do NOT block everything that the HOMEBREW community does. Palm embraces helping the developers -which means that it WILL be better off than the iPhone since Apple keeps it tightly locked down.

The PRE was just recently released across the sea for the Europeans!!

i have an iphone white. valentine gift from my boyfriend.

i love it so much. so sleek. fashionable. easy to use.

i recharge every other night unless i listen to music or kept signed on in yahoo messanger. so if it's just talking on the phone it's every other night.

all of my apps are free and i like them.

all in all i love and happy with my iphone.
