His life changed history. His courage changed lives.
The story of California's first openly gay elected official, Harvey Milk, a San Francisco supervisor who was assassinated along with Mayor George Moscone by San Francisco Supervisor Dan White.
The film came out in 2008, and I was aware of it, however it was not something i was especially keen to pay money for at the Cinema.
Well last night BBC Two broadcast the movie, and as there was nothing else to watch, I sat down to see if i'd be interested. I am so glad I did, "Milk" is a fantastic, heart warming, distressing in places but on the whole a brilliant movie.
I was totally take off guard as to how good it was, Also it did bring me to tears at the end (very rare for a movie to do this).
I enjoyed it so much, i have just bought myself a copy of the DVD online.
If you have not seen it, I encourage you to rent or buy it. Harvey Milk was an inspiration.

and that's without mentioning how HOT James Franco looked throughout the movie. Shallow, but true!
